Devacon's participation at the conhIT 2019 exhibition allowed the team to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in healthcare technology, while also gaining valuable insights and feedback from industry experts and attendees.

The ZeroUI Hackathon featured Devacon GmbH in June. The event focussed on speech recognition in the healthcare sector this year in three important areas. Firstly, it featured a language assistant for finding information rapidly. Secondly, a tool for documenting patient visits and other administrative procedures was shown. Lastly, a virtual assistant for doctors and pharmacists, which simplifies processes like medication ordering, was presented.

The latest version of ProDictate Online provides a useful automatic text function. It can create, save and modify frequently spoken passages of text into handy modules for later recall. This aspect of speech recognition makes writing texts on a PC, Terminal Server or in the Citrix XenApp even faster and more efficient. Intuitive Speech Recognition simplifies the process of formatting dictated text in Word, too. 

From June 4th to 8th, 2018, Devacon participated in a business development trip focused on digital health in Canada as part of the BMWi market development program. The main goal of the trip was to identify potential customers and sales channels, as well as showcase Devacon's innovative solutions.

Devacon, a leader in digital transformation, participated in the 2018 BlackBerry® Secure™ World Tour in Frankfurt. The event brought together experts and executives from the IT security industry to showcase the latest cyber security developments and technologies.

Both iPhones and Android smartphones have voice recognition built into their operating systems and it is fair to say that many individuals, businesses and public sector organisations take advantage of them. The speech recognition software in your smart device is useful and often time-saving, but a well-run IT system in any organisation needs to understand just what the potential downsides are to using such technology, too. 

With mobile workflow solutions, such as eMODAT, the efficiency of the construction industry can be greatly improved. Get rid of conventional, paper-based forms. Instead, mobile digital forms enable much faster collection of information from site, such as construction surveys. Information can be accessed from a central database using a mobile app and then read, amended or updated depending on the most appropriate course of action.

Devacon has put together a unique solution to the problem of using the MicroStrategy client in BlackBerry Dynamics where there is a lack of support. We have designed a workaround to connect to BlackBerry's UEM. In doing so, the URL of the server is hard-coded using a Preferences.xml on the MS server. This is fully integrated during the compilation of the client.
