Network

Networks that carry the load.
Planned, built, operated.

Network planning in Berlin and Brandenburg: we plan, supply and operate switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and data centre networks and plan and coordinate the structured cabling for hotels, office buildings, construction projects and organisations with security requirements. Built on HPE Juniper Networking technology, with one contact from planning to operations.

What we do for you

From the patch panel
to the firewall.

HPE Juniper Networking Juniper SRX Juniper EX Juniper Mist Wi-Fi VPN Cabling
01

Network planning and concept

Inventory, requirements from the building, its use and the security level, resulting in a network concept with segmentation, address plan, redundancy and room to grow. For new builds, conversions and environments that have grown over time.

02

Switching and cabling

Structured cabling planned, coordinated and accepted, plus floor and core switches and Power over Ethernet for access points, phones and cameras. We use Juniper EX switches from HPE Juniper Networking (formerly Juniper Networks) and document every port.

03

Firewall and segmentation

Juniper SRX firewalls as the boundary to the outside and between zones: rule set, intrusion prevention, VPN for sites and home offices, logging. Firewalls for mid-sized companies, sized to actual needs rather than to a catalogue.

04

Wi-Fi and access points

Site survey, channel planning and operations with Juniper Mist: separate networks for guests, staff and devices, central cloud management, faults detected before anyone calls.

05

Data centre network

Networks for server rooms and data centres: redundant uplinks, separation of production, administration and backup, connections to cloud services and remote sites.

06

Operations, monitoring and maintenance

Firmware, rule set and configuration stay current, the network is monitored and changes are documented. On request as part of a maintenance contract with named contacts.

How we work

From requirement
to a running network.

A typical sequence for a new or renewed network. Scope and duration are agreed together after the inventory; on construction projects in coordination with planners and trades.

  1. Step 1

    Inventory

Record buildings, sites, user groups, devices, security requirements and existing equipment.

  2. Step 2

    Network concept

Segments, address plan, firewall zones, Wi-Fi survey, redundancy and bill of materials.

  3. Step 3

    Supply and installation

Supply, mount and configure switches, firewalls and access points; plan, coordinate and accept the structured cabling.

  4. Step 4

    Commissioning

Test per segment, handover with documentation, briefing for your IT.

  5. Ongoing

    Operations

Monitoring, firmware, rule set and changes, to the agreed scope.

Who we build networks for

Four environments,
four sets of requirements.

A hotel needs a different network from an office building, a construction site a different one from a data centre. We plan for the use, not for the catalogue.

Hotel Wi-Fi

Hotels and hospitality

Guest Wi-Fi in every room and in the conference area, separated from point of sale, access control, building services and administration. Central management with Juniper Mist, no on-site controller, with usage insight per area.

Construction project network

Construction projects and buildings

Network planning alongside the building design: cabling, equipment rooms, floor distributors, integration of building automation and access control. From the site container to handover to the operator.

Office building network

Offices and organisations

Networks for office buildings and organisations with security requirements: segmentation by department and device class, firewall with VPN for home offices and sites, Wi-Fi for staff and guests, documented and monitored.

Data centre

Server rooms and data centres

Redundant core and access layers, separate zones for production, administration and backup, secure connections to cloud services and remote sites, matched to virtualisation (Citrix Hypervisor, VMware) and storage.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions
about network and infrastructure.

Do you also plan the network for a construction project before the building exists?

Yes. Network planning belongs early in the building design: equipment rooms, cable routes, floor distributors and the number of outlets can only be changed later at considerable cost. We work with architects, specialist planners and electrical trades and hand over a documented network to the operator at the end.

Which manufacturers do you use?

In the network mainly HPE Juniper Networking, that is the former Juniper Networks product lines: Juniper EX switches, Juniper SRX firewalls and Juniper Mist for Wi-Fi and operations. Our consulting is vendor-neutral, and we also take over existing environments from other manufacturers into operations.

What makes hotel Wi-Fi different from office Wi-Fi?

In a hotel the users change daily, the devices are unknown, and guests, events, point of sale, access control and building services often share the same building. The network has to separate these groups strictly, keep access simple and run without a technician on site. In an office, known devices, permissions and the connection to business applications are the priority.

Is one firewall enough for a mid-sized company?

A firewall at the internet boundary is the start. It becomes effective with internal segmentation, a maintained rule set, VPN with multi-factor authentication and logging. The IT security infrastructure check on the cybersecurity page shows where you stand.

Do you take over operations after the installation?

Yes, on request as part of a maintenance contract: monitoring, firmware, rule set, changes and documentation, with named contacts and service hours Mon to Fri, 9 am to 5 pm.
