Simple speech recognition at the cursor: how ProDictate Online works
ProDictate Online writes spoken text directly at the cursor position in almost any application, including Windows Terminal Server. How it works.
ProDictate Online writes spoken text directly at the cursor position. The app runs on the desktop and works with almost any application, including Windows Terminal Server.
Dictation directly at the cursor
You place the cursor in the text field where the spoken sentence should appear. ProDictate Online can be paired with a range of word processing programs, from Linux-based systems to Microsoft software. In Microsoft Office, you dictate directly into Outlook or Word. Windows Terminal Server, one of the standard platforms in business, is also supported.
The backend and the AI have been extended, and the recognition rate is very high. Technical terms are recognised quickly too: professional speech recognition is available for medicine, law and other specialist fields.
Working with several programs
ProDictate Online is anchored to the chosen text field. While you dictate, other programs, such as a PDF, can stay open in the foreground. The speech recognition writes the text into the anchored field in the background.
You move between text fields using the function keys on the dictation device or by voice command. Both can be adjusted in the settings. ProDictate Online is available as a trial installation.
