eMODAT opens up a wide range of diversified possibilities in the field of mobile market re search and opinion polls. The flexible data capturing software develo ped by Devacon allows users to question customers and consumers at marketing events and at the point of sale via their smartphones or tablet PCs. The standard kit comprises all component s which are necessary to get started right away such as a pool of common questions. 'Our basic version is a smart and compact solution for mobile research ' , explains eMODAT project manager Marcus Heinrich. Users set up customized form sheets depending on t heir target group and field of application via the browser on the corporate computers.

These forms are then sent to the mobile terminal devices of the field workers and changes are synchronized automatically . The interview answers are recorded digitally an d stored permanently in the system as a PDF file. Even in the event of fluctuating Internet connections employees can continue their poll: the results are memo r ised in a cache and transmitted as soon as the smartphone can go online once again. Another adva ntage: the questionnaires do no longer have to be sorted manually, dropped o f f at the headquarters or scanned to be accessible digitally .
