ProDictate Online’s server-based speech recognition software enables users to exploit the latest speech recognition technologies on thin clients running XenApp or WTS. Indeed, even the integration of speech recognition software can be completed at little cost and with little expertise. Moreover, the software can be used at the cursor without needing to install or adapt other applications.
Linux-based Igel thin clients now have enhanced functions thanks to the new version of Devacon’s Virtual Channel Client. Users wanting speech regognition or dictation capabilities on Terminal Server or XenApp WTS up from Igel’s 5.05.100 Firmware now have no issues—even on an Igel Thin Client UD2, UD3, or UD5. Any thin client hosted by a corporate network can rapidly receive the solution via UMS. This integration allows for the quick and effective rollout of speech regognition software.
The newly released 2.0 version of ProDictate now fully supports XenApp 7.9 Citrix. XenApp 7.9 Citrix itself is a Terminal Server solution aimed at increasing user comfort, heightening security, and making management capabilities more responsive. Additionally, ProDictate 2.0 also supports Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication services, which enable users to effortlessly log in to multiple virtual and local applications via a single command. Corporate networks are made more secure this way and the work for IT departments is reduced.
Entering your passwords and applications over and over again is now over: Single Sing On (SSO) authentication has been enabled by ProDictate Online on the XenApp and WTS Terminal Server. Users simply log in to ProDictate Online’s speech recognition software with their Windows credentials and enter/dictate any required prompts via the integrated Active Directory module to continue their speech recognition work.
Enhanced data security is achieved through encryption for both user sides, but this is offset by administration department holding security keys. There are specific requirements for data security at work. The fact that transcription is activated through ProDictate DS2 format ensures the right level of data security and means the security of that data is not affected.
